Sorry for the elate information
My name is Bob Stephen and I have a Frers 36 in Chicago
I did replace the water bladder on both starboard and port settee.
These are stock tanks that are made from a company in Milwaukee Wisconsin c=
alled Kracor. They have a web site on all stock sizes they make. Specially=
they design may tanks for the marine industry. Thanks for water and waste

Maybe this is useful also for the Frers 33

Hi Frank, can you shoot some pictures for us of that installation? Much ap=

First your going to need really, really good hose. I recommend Trident Pre=

a foot but there is no (NONE) smell from this hose. I've had it now on th=
e boat for 5 years, no problems. Next you're going to want a thick walled =
rigid plastic tank. You buy a flexible tank and it will stink and you will=
be sorry. Someone suggested a stainless steel tank once. You buy that an=
d you're boat will eventually be filled with waste water. Nothing but acid=
is more corrosive than human waste. It will eat right through SS but has =
no affect on plastic. I located my tank forward on the port side. Everyth=
ing from the head is pumped directly into the tank. From the tank there is=
a Y valve which allows a pump out or overboard discharge if you're offshor=
e.

My tank is smallish may be 20 maybe 15 gallons but it was the biggest tank =
that would fit up front.

I think the hose wound up costing me somewhere near $350. But when I sle=
ep in the V-birth just 3 inches from that stuff and don't smell anything ba=
d I know it was one of the better boat investments.

Good luck.

Ed,

Been poking into some of the same issues. Check out the Raritan site for ta=

1) I am looking to replace the original bladder water tank, with a rig=
id tank, moving it to the starboard side. Does anyone know of a good source=
for a good fitting tank? I would like to have it as far aft and low as pos=
sible, with a capacity of about 20 - 30 gallons.

2) I'm also in the process of trying to fix/improve the holding tank/p=
lumbing set up. Trying to eliminate the potential for future odor problems.=
The current set up is not original. Does anyone have the original layout o=
f the tank & plumbing for it? I've seen the set up on Moose, custom tanks a=
nd clean. Only problem everything is forward, not exactly where I want the =
weight.

>From what I have read the air vent from the tank is not suppose to exceed 5=
to 6 feet. I have removed the macerator pump as it was not functioning and=
inhibited getting to the shut off valve for the seacock, and removed the h=
oses which I could readily get to.

Removing the remaining hoses are going to be a real chore as the tank was p=
laced just above the seacock, so it is extremely difficult to remove the ho=
se attached to it.

My goal is to try to minimize the total amount of hose and above all no odo=
r.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
