Dave Nauber's approach of doing end for end jibes with a double sheet setup s=
ounds like winner to me. All the advantage of double sheets without the slow=
er dip maneuver. I'd consider doing it but I'd have to remount the fore guy b=
lock further aft on my boat. It is too far forward on the bow to attach cent=
ered on a pole bridle (it attaches to the outer end), so our pole ends can't=
be reversed during a jibe. Our trigger release is also for the outer end on=
ly. That said, a jibe is all about the driver and the trimmer keeping the ch=
ute flying through the maneuver. Done right we can jibe as fast and as smoot=
hly as a boat that end for ends. Our most common problem is letting the lazy=
sheet get under the pole so that when the pole swings down and in for the j=
ibe, it pulls the sail in with it. This can be avoided, but it would be easi=
er to shake it free if we end for ended.=20
I'm pretty happy not to have to deal with twings anymore.=20
