Edgar,
More information about twings please and why you no longer have to deal with=
them. The wind was blowing 18 yesterday and the chute was wild. How are y=
ou controlling the beast in heavy breeze downwind?

p sounds like winner to me. All the advantage of double sheets without the s=
lower dip maneuver. I'd consider doing it but I'd have to remount the fore g=
uy block further aft on my boat. It is too far forward on the bow to attach c=
entered on a pole bridle (it attaches to the outer end), so our pole ends ca=
n't be reversed during a jibe. Our trigger release is also for the outer end=
only. That said, a jibe is all about the driver and the trimmer keeping the=
chute flying through the maneuver. Done right we can jibe as fast and as sm=
oothly as a boat that end for ends. Our most common problem is letting the l=
azy sheet get under the pole so that when the pole swings down and in for th=
e jibe, it pulls the sail in with it. This can be avoided, but it would be e=
asier to shake it free if we end for ended.=20
