The mast remains upright.
Use a halyard attached to the bow cleat as a temporary headstay.
Yes, someone goes up the mast. After the bottom pin is removed, the person=
up high releases the top pin, and lowers the roller furling headstay to a =
person on the ground using another one of the halyards.
Then raise the racing headstay up on that halyard and attached the top pin.=
Reattach the bottom pin and. One on down. Tune up and go racing.
Reverse the process for cruising.
The job is quickly and easily done with three people. Less quick but still=
easy with two people.
