Hi Guys,
Getting a bit of play in my rudder and suspect the bearings may need to be
renewed. I believe there is some information on line and will have a
detailed look. Just curious as to who has done this recently and where they
purchased the parts. Also the upper end of the rudder stock is held in
place by a stainless steel bold through the rudder stock. On Equinox there
is a polyethylene (Perhaps Starboard) block (about 3/8" thick on the cockpit
sole which turn on two polyethylene discs, on edge, which in this case are
badly worn. I was wondering what other Frers had there and if anyone has
pictures that would be great. At the present time there is two to 3" of
play at the bottom of the rudder when the boat is out of the water.
Regards
Rod
Equinox
