Definitely rig your spin pole for dual release. =C2=A0We still have the fre=
e guy blocks forward (mostly due to laziness) and it is a pain for the fore=
deck crew espacially if they have to work the jib to the other side before =
hoisting. =C2=A0Having worked foredeck many years ago I preferred the mid b=
ow attachment over forward. =C2=A0The forward placement gives the cockpit c=
rew more control over the pole. =C2=A0The dual sheave block with double end=
ed line running down each side of the cabin has worked well for us, at leas=
t one side is usally clear for adjustments.

Last year we bought Whirlaway from Don and Chris and this year I have been =
slowly trying to get it back in racing configuration.=C2=A0 I have read the=
rigging document and was wondering what has worked best for the fore guy.=
=C2=A0 On Whirlaway the block is still mounted far forward close to the bow=
chocks.=C2=A0 I can see it needs to move mid for deck, but have people fou=
nd a need to use a block or is just a pulley good enough? Also any suggesti=
ons on running back to the pit area?=C2=A0 A final question, for rigging th=
e spin pole for end for end; one end has a remote release, the other does n=
ot, I was planning to tie a line to the pull so it would be a remote pull f=
or both ends.=C2=A0 Is this what others have done or was the pole re-worked=
?
Thanks,
Frank
