[MaxLite] T8 700 Series Price Reduction

Dear Sales et al,

The A,B,C & D prices for T8 F17, F25 and F32 for 7xx series lamps have been
reduced to pre-phosphor scares. Please bring any substantial 700 series
opportunities (particularly F17 &F25) that require further price
consideration as we do not have a Hot price set.

SM100 has been updated and a spreadsheet is attached for your convenience.
Sharon has put out instruction for the inclusion of this in the next price
book update and at least a few MM announcements so the reps get the message.

Greg,

I believe the reason why we stopped selling T8 700 series is after we up
adjusted the price due to phosphor crisis.  Therefore all we have to is to
lower down the price back to where it was before and I am certain we will
move them without special promo.  Please adjust price of all 700 series of
T8 lamps back to where it was and we will phase them out.  The most
important step after adjusting the price is to announce this price
adjustment to our sales force internally and externally not just once but
until they get it.  We need to explain why we are adjusting the price and
why we are phasing these lamps out to our sales reps and CSR's, inside
sales.

Please make that happen.

The summary of the C&I feedback is to deep discount and blow out. Some
suggested a xmas special. No OEM opportunities but Bea/Export is very
interested. We may be able to move them all via export. I see no reason to
deep discount at this point unless there is another urgent need to get them
out of stock. My biggest concerns are F17 and F25.

FYI, we can always sell them after July into export.

I think you know that the 700 series T8 lamps are out come July 2012. Our
inventory is as follows;

O.K., the same as any other bulbs before.  This means we can still sell but
cannot make them anymore.  Unlike other products that are being banned I
don't see any hoarding  of this product as the cost is pretty close between
700 and 800 lamps.  Please work with three inside sales to come up with a
plan to unload all of our inventory with lower price if needed.

The law says that we cannot "manufacture after 7/12".
I will check with tom yang by I think you can continue to sell them after
July.

When is T8 lamps with 75 CRI becoming obsolete?  Is it 1/1/12?  If so we
will have to do something quick to sell all of our 700 series.  Let us know.
