I have been working with rabbit imagery since 1997, to explore if a long-ea=
red herbivore can carry the dramatic weight to communicate complex emotions=
 and ideas.  In this series,=20
my characters look outward and explore the world around them, in scenes dra=
wn from the history of biology and geology.  As I create their visual world=
, the rabbits take on the=20
adventures, both large and small, to work out the conceptual puzzles that d=
escribe the inner workings of their environment.=20

I have been invited to go to Hanoi, Vietnam later this fall to be the first=
 official visiting artist and master printer to The Hanoi Contemporary Art =
Center.  The HCAC is owned and=20
operated by the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association. It is located in Hanoi and =
houses a gallery, visiting artist studios, housing for visiting artists, an=
d a printmaking studio with etching=20
and lithography presses. In addition to providing space for Vietnamese and =
international artists to live and work the HCAC offers workshops on many to=
pics including sculpture and=20
printmaking. The Viet Nam Fine Arts Association is a national governmental =
organization the promotes and supports the arts in Viet Nam.=20

I have also just heard that there may be a side trip south to Ho Chi Minh C=
ity for a couple of days to do workshops there at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine=
 Arts College. =20

I am very excited about this trip and hope to learn much and share much wit=
h the people I meet.  I will take lots of pictures to post to my web site w=
hen I return. =20
