Hi Judith, thanks for answering. I am descended from Andrew Blair &
Elizabeth Davis, she was rum
ored to be descended from a Catherine Shelby? It gets very confusing about
that time. Andrew was supposed to have bought the Mountain of Wales from
Evan Shelby in 1750 Evan was supposed to be his Father in Law. In Wales I am
just trying to find out where the Shelby's or Selby's came from? Philip
seems to have been the first in Tregaron?? One of my problems is Elizabeth
Davis b 1716 in Pa, seems there are at least 3 Elizabeth Davis's born in
1716 in Pa??? Also I see some reference to The Davies family don't know if
they are same family, looks like Davies was probably how they spelled it in
Wales. The Davis name seems to be like Smith all over the place.

Do you have a Catherine as a daughter of Evan Shelby if so what birthdate
and who did she marry, maybe John Davis father of Elizabeth Davis 1716 and
Daniel Davis and maybe David Davis????

Evan Shelby married Catherine Morgan is she related to the Morgans of
Morgantown Va & WVa.

Is Philip Shelby as far back as you go in Wales?
