You guys on the east coast must have it pretty sweet racing with your soft ratings. Here on Lake michigan we race at 108-and that was moved DOWn from a 11 a few years back. And we havetop race against J 105's olson 30's olson 34's Shoch 35's and express 34's, Beneteau 36.6 and a few Hunter 375's and an occasional Ben First 10 and hobie 33's. I'l be real interested in seeing what you end up with.

If
> you're racing anything other than one design you're struggling. The C&C 9.9
> has a PHRF of 102 which says it is 12 seconds a mile faster than the Frers
> 33. It' honestly a lot faster than that (by observation). Or the Frers 33
> is not as fast as it used to be.
>
> My two cents worth.
>
> Frank Albert
>
> -----Original Message-----
> From: Allan Heyward [mailto:heyward@chllh.com]
> Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2004 9:53
> To: frers-list@lists.frers33.com
> Subject: RE: [frers-list]PHRF Rating
>
> A friend here on the Chesapeake who races J-29s now (PHRF 111) but who raced
> on and against (in J-29s) Frers 33s on the great lakes, believes strongly
> that they should be at least 120.
