For a definitive answer you might reach out to Barrry Carrol who is still a=
ctive after selling the boat building business. I have always thought of th=
e boat more for coastal racing/cruising but with nothing to back that up. T=
he construction is moderately light. The phrase "reef early" comes to mind.=
 I've done 10'+ waves with reefed main and #3 and clearly survived but don'=
t know the limits.=20
