How'd you decide on 7" , etc.....   ?

Is glassing the bulb related to the 'goback' option, or what ?

What difference did 7" make ? To my ignorant thoughts, that doesn't 
intuitively seem like it'd make
enough difference in anything to be worth the trouble and expense, but 
admittedly, I know little
and hope I'm wrong since I was told that someone did something similar 
to mine but omitted the
'goback' step you so wisely included  :-)
